Looking for a 2 jobs calculator? Two jobs on one return means the IRS wants withholding as if all wages were on one W-4. Takehome Cash has one gross field. Add both jobs together, then use extra federal withholding if you checked W-4 Step 2. This is not a two-employer simulator and not Pub 15-T multiple-jobs worksheets.

A second W-2 is extra gross, not a second tax engine. If job A pays $80,000 and job B pays $40,000, type $120,000. Each employer otherwise withholds as if it were the only job, which often under-withholds. Form W-4 Step 2 is the IRS checkbox (or the multiple-jobs worksheet) that tells payroll to withhold more. This site does not implement that checkbox. Put a dollar amount in extra withholding per paycheck if that is how your stub shows it.
Social Security still uses the $184,500 wage base across all jobs combined, not per employer. Medicare is 1.45% on all FICA wages, plus 0.9% additional Medicare above the filing-status threshold on the combined wage. Traditional 401(k) at one job does not automatically reduce the other job’s FICA.
The sample table is $80,000 California (one job) versus $120,000 California (two jobs added). Change state or extra withholding in the widget. Not a W-4 completer. Reviewed October 2, 2026.

FAQ
Does this model W-4 Step 2 exactly?
No. Step 2 is an IRS checkbox or worksheet. Here you combine both wages in gross and, if needed, type extra federal withholding per paycheck.
How should I enter two salaries?
Add them. $80,000 plus $40,000 is $120,000 annual gross in this calculator.
Is a second job taxed at a higher bracket all by itself?
No. Brackets apply to total taxable income. Two employers each withholding as if they were the only job is the usual under-withholding problem.
