Tax year 2026, California, single, standard deduction, no 401(k).
A health flexible spending arrangement (FSA) is usually a cafeteria-plan salary reduction. It generally comes out of federal, state, and FICA wages. Takehome Cash has no dedicated FSA box. This page puts about $130 on the existing pre-tax health line each biweekly check as an FSA proxy, under the 2026 $3,400 employee limit in IRS Revenue Procedure 2025-32.

Health FSA employee deferrals typically reduce FICA as well as income tax. That is the same health-line approximation used on the HSA page, for a different product. An FSA is usually use-it-or-lose-it, with an optional carryover cap of $680 for 2026 in that same revenue procedure. An HSA is a portable account with different IRS limits. This page is not HDHP testing and not a dependent-care FSA calculator.
The $130 biweekly sample is about $3,380 a year ($130 × 26), under the $3,400 health FSA salary-reduction limit. We do not cap the field. Employers can set a lower plan limit. Dependent-care FSAs are a different Code section and are not this widget.
Compare the no-FSA row with the health-line row. Reviewed October 2, 2026.

FAQ
Is this a dedicated FSA engine?
No. FSA-style amounts use the existing health/premium field. There is no eligibility test or claim engine.
What is the 2026 health FSA limit?
IRS Rev. Proc. 2025-32 sets a $3,400 employee salary-reduction maximum for plan years beginning in 2026, and a $680 carryover maximum if the plan allows carryover.
How is this different from the HSA paycheck page?
Same health-line proxy, different product and IRS limits. HSA copy cites Rev. Proc. 2025-19. This URL is the health FSA intent.
